plungers for disposable syringes, pumps for droppers, special articles in rubber

OUR HISTORY

Rubber Pharm was founded in 2000, but our story begins much earlier.

From 1973 to 1984, Claudio Maritan worked for Indus Gomma, an historic Italian company specialising in the moulding of rubber products for the food industry and closures for the para-pharmaceutical industry, first as a machine technician, then as technical manager.

Mr. Maritan was especially engaged in the studying and in the production of rubber closures (plungers and caps). This experience led to the formation of a new company in 1984 called Laboratori Gomma Maritan, which produced technical articles in rubber and silicone destined mainly for the food, sports, automotive and oil industries.

In the meantime, a department was set up to produce components for the para-pharmaceutical and surgical sector, and for the creation of special projects. During this period, a collaboration was established with the University of Padova to implement a seal for a NASA project.

Realising the potential of these activities, Rubber Pharm was created specifically for this purpose in 2000. The production of rubber plungers for syringes and infusion pumps was subsequently joined by lines dedicated to pumps for droppers.

Among the numerous projects developed by the company was the production of surgical seals for dual-mode laparoscopic operations and corneal bases.
